Government 2.0 Visionary Gets Nod from Obama White House

One only need glance at her LinkedIn profile to be impressed Bev Godwin’s history of bringing government into the Internet age. She’s steadily been affecting positive change in American government, most recently setting web policy as the Director of USA.gov and Government Web Best Practices for GSA. She’s served as the sponsor of the Federal Web Managers Council, working directly with Gov 2.0 luminaries Sheila Campbell and Rachel Flagg to improve the way that government agencies use the web.
There’s no doubt about it—Bev Godwin is a superstar. So when Bev recently was called upon to serve as the Director of Online Resources & Interagency Development for the newly formed White House Office of New Media, no one around the Rock Creek offices was surprised.
Instead, we were impressed that an administration that campaigned on a platform of change tapped a true visionary to lead a revolutionary new initiative.
So to Bev, we send a heartfelt congrats on your continued success.
